Our Need for Food

The need to properly feed yourself is one of the most important one in your life. Think about how much time is spent purchasing, preparing and eating food. Hence, we really need to choose carefully what we are putting in our bodies. How little people realize how important it is to eat living food is quiet astonishing. It just shows us how far we’ve gone in using food as a marketing industry and not as a health focused one. In doing so we have greatly reduced if not completely elimated the essentiel nutrients of our food.

Living Food?

There are so many different views on nutrition that it si difficult to know which nutrition avenue is better than the other. But I have found along the way that if there is one point that comes out strongly from any type of diet is the importance of eating a variety of fruits and vegetables foods. Unfortunately, a point that too often gets neglected is that eating living food is crucial to our vibrant health.

What is living foods. Simply put , living food is eating foods in their natural state whereby the nutrients’ enzymes are still active. The obvious living food are fresh fruits and vegetables but grains, nuts, and unpasteurized food like milk and cheese are also living foods. Any food of cooked higher than 105 F is considered to have lost all of its enzymes and some or most of its vitamins.

The importance of living food

Why is it so important to eat living foods. Many reasons! First, like mentioned previously, these types of food are filled with natural enzymes. Our bodies are simply not made to deal with all the massive amount of food that we put in our bodies that are void of enzymes. We all have natural gastric and pancreatic enzymes but the stomach and pancreas work so hard to create massive amount of enzymes to help us digest our food that eventually these organs start shutting down and diseases like type I diabetes, stomach ulcers, and other gastro intestinal related diseases or problems begin to emerge.

Secondly, living foods are at their most nutrient dense state. Meaning that the food has the most vitamins and or minerals and or nutrients that it will ever have. Vitamins and minerals are essential for human life as well as for our auto-healing processes. Hence, if you are lacking vitamins and minerals in your diet, your body will eventually run into major health problems. And don’t let the pharmaceutical companies fool you. Taking supplements can help but they can never truly replace a nutrient dense diet.

Thirdly, living foods are often low in fat and calories. The more living food you eat, the easier it is to reduce your caloric intake. I might add an important point that I have recently discovered, when you eat a lot of living foods, many of your cravings will disappear and your appetite will diminish. You see, even if you are consuming a ton of food but that food is not living and has low nutritional value, than your body will continue to crave food because it is lacking essential nutrients. So it really goes to say that it’s not how much you eat but really what you eat that makes the biggest difference.

There are many other reasons why eating living\raw food is so vital but these are really the biggest reasons. So if there’s one thing that you leave with in this article is if you could change one thing in your everyday diet, it would be eating living food. Your body will highly benefit from it, you might lose a whole lot of weight and regain your power over your appetite, you might heal on your own from your illness, you will most definately help our planet as there is NO processing involved when coming to living food and most importantly, you will most likely live a fuller and more vibrant life as well as greatly reducing your risk from a ton of chronic and debilitating diseases from cancers to heart disease and diabetes.
